I’m a 35 yr old artist and illustrator with a deep passion for sculpture (when I have the chance! )
I am a fulltime Mama to 5 gorgeous boys (4 still at home ) and 1 beautiful blossoming Daughter and I’m also enjoying the bliss of being…. A Daughter, Sister, Aunty and Nanna!! i find great joy and satisfaction in supporting sisters in birth, exploring intuitive communication, Live music and dance and the sharing of culture upon this beautiful mother earth!
After the birth of my youngest now nearly four, I RE immersed my hands into the “clay of the earth” after many years (oh the joy! ) out of desperately needed “ME” time from then 7 children in our care. What followed, as I see it was preparation into my own personal experience of what will be my first Being Woman festival! From the individual creation of each piece “Goddess of peaceful intention” , “ welcome little one” (made the day after supporting a sister in homebirth) and “Nanna” (in honour of my children’s Nannas of the Kokatha peoples of central Australia.) And not without much inner investigation into my yet unexplainable attachment to each piece came…… the gathering of maiden, mother, crone (wise woman). They were sticking together for a reason… That I felt strongly.
I awoke one morning knowing I needed to speak with Beau my beloved sister (first circle) who was part of organising the space for the dreaming of the next being woman in crystal waters , my vision of these 3 goddesses became apparent. And so they came to hold space. I feel so deeply honoured and blessed to have been a part of the powerful and dynamic process of the dreaming and for the deep heartfelt connection to the fascinating, inspiring women ( and child!) who openly and honestly shared their strengths, vulnerabilities and shared visions for the festival to come.
To be invited to co create the art for this event has been my pleasure, aiding in my own journey of growth and personal discovery into… Being Woman!!!!! See you in 2012
