Living Love workshop experience.

Hi Beautiful Being Women,

I just wanted to share a little blessing that I have recently experienced…. I was introduced to ‘Being Woman’ at the end of 2010 by a dear friend after she had attended ‘The Joining’.

I was the first woman to book in to the March 2011 weekend, and coaxed a good friend to come along with me.

For many months prior to this I had been in quite a lot of pain around my relationship, just fed up with things not growing and feeling quite unloved and unseen.

So, during the weekend I attended many workshops, and several of them seemed to be pointing me towards opening my heart and learning more about the masculine and feminine energies/essences.  At one circle, when asked to place something sacred into the centre alter I saw another woman put what looked like her wedding ring into the centre, this stirred me deeply and resonated as something I could also do, so as with many things over that weekend ‘I just did it’.

I attended one particular workshop by Cynthia Connop, and learned about her work (and David Deida’s books) and Living Love for Couples and Singles weekends, and tucked the info away for later.  …. Lucky for me, later came this past weekend (30 & 31 July) my husband and myself attended a transformative weekend workshop, it’s early days I know, but the gifts and depth of the weekend were so inspiring and unique to any I have done before, especially since it was the first workshop I have attended with my partner.

We both enjoyed it very much, and I have renewed faith in our togetherness, and feel very grateful to women and men of The Joining and Being Woman and the like who bravely present us with powerful tools for change.

Much love

Denise.

Dreaming Story

for Being Woman Gathering 2012

On the evening of Saturday June 11th, we gathered at Crystal Waters as the Sun was setting.  A gentle rain had started to fall that afternoon, a rain that stayed with us until ceremony was completed Sunday lunchtime.  Nineteen of us were gathered together, including eight of nine first circle members.  We shared a warm soup together, cooked with love before heading to the community cottage where a beautiful sacred space had been created. Jayne Skipper’s beautiful sculptures of Mother, Maiden and Crone graced the centre of our circle, creating a beautiful space.

We were smudged as we entered the sacred space to sit in circle together around the altar. We were then guided through ceremony by Heather Price, who held the ceremony for the entire event. We were blessed to have Robin Clayfield with us to hold space in ceremony on the Saturday evening and to also have with us Louise Donovan and Chirone Witsen, beautiful elders of our BW community. We were also blessed to have Elaine and Nina from first circle 2010 with us and Holly, first circle for Joining 2012.  We are so grateful for the each beautiful sister who held space with us in sacred ceremony, each of you brought your unique gift and energy.

We each shared in circle how we had been guided to BW, and our strength and vulnerability.  This was a beautiful way to open our hearts and the circle.  Robin then guided us through a process where many images were laid out and we each chose one, and shared with the circle why they spoke to us.

We then retired for the evening to dream together.  When we awoke the next day, the first thing many of us saw was a beautiful spider-web glimmering with dew.  The dew drops formed a perfect circle, beautiful!

After breakfast we gathered again in ceremony, and in small groups we each shared our dreams and visions for Being Woman 2012.  We were guided by Heather to come up with one word, as a group, and one image that represented our shared dreaming.

We then presented these to the circle and shared about these.

It was wonderful to see the resonance and common threads in each of these four images and words that were shared.

Our next process was to feel and intuit together which of these images and words held the strongest resonance: and the result was a weaving together of the images and themes.

Some of the themes that have emerged from the dreaming are:

Grandmother Spider, Grandmother Mt Beerwah, Grandfather Mt Tibrogargen, Deepening our connection with Gaia, Indigenous women, Inner union,  Inter-connection, the Web of Life, Sisterhood, Community, Masculine and Feminine balance, Motherhood, Creativity, Feminine Empowerment, our Inner Authority. More will be revealed soon!

The final image and Dreaming theme has been birthed now.  We planted a seed for BW 2012 together, which is held in the heart of Gaia for all women, ready to grow into the beautiful flowering tree of our Being Woman 2012.

It is so beautiful and such an honour to work on a project where everyone involved has so much heart, love, devotion, passion and dedication.  Being Woman is for every woman, and we are all Being Women!

Love and Blessings from First Circle 2011.    We look forward to seeing you there!

We are: Rene Bahloo, Kimberly Bradley, Marnie Collins, Patricia Goncalves, Ninindi Johnstone, Dana Mynard, Beau McKnight, Tamara Newlands and Gillian Rayner
